Since 1877, The Chase Home’s mission has been dedicated to supporting youth and families. We are committed to providing trauma-informed residential and community-based support services to at-risk youth and their families. Through our comprehensive programs, we aim to foster a nurturing environment that promotes healing, growth, and independence for youth in need.

Our History
Originally founded as an orphanage in 1877, The Chase Home is one of the oldest non-profit organizations in the state of New Hampshire. For decades, we have been committed to helping children live healthier and happier lives. No longer an orphanage, we provide services and programs both in the community and on-site at The Chase Home where some kids live.

The Chase Home for Children is founded as an orphanage for children under the age of 14 at Strawbery Banke
1879
The Children’s Home was incorporated
1916
The Home moves to 26 acres on 698 Middle Road, where a new building is constructed to provide more room and space for more children
1960s
The Home transitioned from being an orphanage to becoming a treatment level residential program for youth
2011
The Home continues to offer safe haven for children, youth, and families in need
2012
The Home adds home-based services for at-risk youth and their families in the Seacoast community
2014
The Home introduces its Independent Living Program to serve youth ages 17-21
2017
The Home introduces it’s Seacoast Community Diversion Program to serve at-risk youth ages 12-18 in the juvenile justice system

The Chase Home and it’s programs continue to provide preventative, residential, and community-based services to vulnerable youth and families in New Hampshire
