Our Residential Treatment Services (RTS) program offers intensive therapeutic support and care for youth (ages 11-18) referred through the DCYF system or those who would otherwise be homeless or unable to have their needs safely met at home.

Designed for young individuals experiencing significant emotional, behavioral, or mental health challenges, RTS provides a stable environment where youth can work towards stabilizing disruptive or unhealthy behaviors. The program’s ultimate goal is to reunify youth with their families or caregivers when appropriate. The length of stay varies based on each resident’s specific needs and progress, ranging from a few weeks to several months.

Program Goals

Each year, about 25 youth between the ages of 11 and 18, referred by the New Hampshire Department of Youth and Families, find a home at The Chase Home. While staying at The Chase Home, these young individuals:

Goal 1Attend Local Schools

Goal 2Engage in Extracurricular Activities

Goal 3Contribute to Household Chores

Goal 4Hold Jobs in the Community when Age Appropriate

At The Chase Home, we believe that every child wants to succeed. We understand that foster youth, like their peers, need the guidance of caring adults to develop the skills essential for success. Each young person works with us to set their own goals and outline the steps needed to achieve them. This journey often includes individual therapy to address past traumas and group sessions focused on building coping skills and resolving conflicts. Together, we strive to create lasting, supportive family relationships within the walls of The Chase Home and out in the community.

Summer Programming

Open to youth who are living with us in our Residential Treatment Services program, our summer programming is crucial in teaching our youth important skills, such as self-efficacy, self-esteem, and problem-solving.

A unique transformation takes place during these few weeks. We see youth displaying confidence, enthusiasm, and teamwork as they navigate the activities carefully planned for them. The ability to offer the youth in RTS with supportive and therapeutic adventures that push them to succeed and grow is one of the most rewarding and affirming elements of this program.

How to Enroll

Youth are either referred by the New Hampshire Department of Children, Youth and Families (DCYF) or Transitional Residential Enhanced Care Coordination (TRECC).

The goal is to coordinate care and work collaboratively with the child and family and their treatment team to successfully transition them back to their home and community.
