Why do kids go to The Chase Home?
The Chase Home provides 24-hour, trauma-informed care for at-risk youth, ages 11-21, who cannot remain safely in their homes or communities for various reasons. Referrals to The Chase Home are accepted from the Bureau of Children’s Behavioral Health and court-ordered placements through the NH Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Using evidence-based practices, such as Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), our mission is to build healthy adult-child attachments, reunify families, prepare young adults for independent living, and support youth as they transition back into their communities.
What are common warning signs in youth behavior?
Every child is different and displays their behavior in their own way. The common warning signs we see are failing grades, refusal to attend school, extreme mood swings, drug/nicotine/alcohol use, bullying, and problems with anger management.
How do you care for at-risk youth at The Chase Home?
The Chase Home helps at-risk youth develop meaningful relationships, set and reach goals, engage in the community and with their peers, and create structure in a safe and nurturing environment while providing 24-hour trauma-informed care and support services. We communicate with all care-givers and members of the youth’s treatment team to ensure they are able to meet their treatment goals and attain permanency and wellbeing after our care.
